What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Hypnotherapist, Content Creator, and top .08% OF Creator! My customers are people who want to be a part of a sex-positive community where they can ask questions, buy premium content and learn how to reprogram their subconscious minds to finally create change. I have worked hard to create a straightforward and non-judgmental online space where people can talk about sex! There is a LOT of misinformation out there when it comes to sexuality, consent, and relationships. Through social media, I try to tackle as many of these issues as possible in a way that is easy to understand and un-intimidating.

Tell us about yourself

When I first became a hypnotherapist, I looked at what everyone else in the field was doing. For the most part, the industry is focused on the "classics." Those are things like losing weight and stopping smoking. That's super important! But it became clear that there probably didn't need to be another Hypnotherapist offering those services. I started to look inward for guidance. I had personally used hypnosis to get over my issue with having orgasms after literally years of trying everything else. And so, I took a leap and started posting about my experience on Instagram. The response to these personal videos was powerful. People were reaching out to me to tell me their stories of assault, their feelings of shame about sex, their embarrassment about their sexual "performance," and so many other profound and personal stories. That's when it became crystal clear to me that this was what I wanted to do. Almost no other hypnotherapists were helping people with sex and people needed the help! Hypnosis is such an effective tool to re-write those deeply held negative subconscious beliefs that hold us back. After that, my business grew from seeing clients one-on-one and over Zoom to a point where I couldn't fit in any more clients. That's when I started to shift to the Only Fans Platform. There I am not limited in what I can talk about; I can create and sell hypnotherapy programs, give one on one advice and lean into my sensual side. In one year, I have risen to be in the top .08% of all Only Fans Creators, and my account has grown in subscribers and income every single month since I began. What motivates me is when people that I work with have personal breakthroughs and when subscribers write to tell me that what I am doing resonates with them. Honestly, it's been super rewarding, and I'm having a great time!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Growing from making $44 in my first month on OF and one year later being in the top .08% of all creators (and growing!).

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

This is going to come as no surprise, but I find that work-life balance is always tough. My husband and I have a blended family, and we have 5 daughters between us! So right now, life is running at full tilt all the time between work and kids. But we feel lucky and happy, and it's ok. We'll sleep when we retire! ;)

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Just start. So many people get held up by the idea of not being "ready." There is no perfect level of readiness. Just start. Make social media videos every day because that really is how you find your audience/clients/customers. You don't need an expensive camera or a well-decorated office or whatever else you think you need before you are "ready." What you need is just to begin. That's how you will grow, learn and develop. You can't do those things until you start. So if you are suffering from "Analysis Paralysis," ...this is your sign to do the scary thing and START!
