What's your business, and who are your customers?
Kate Butler Books is a coaching, publishing, and mentoring company. If someone has a dream of becoming a best-selling author or has a story they desire to share, we not only help you publish your best-selling book (step-by-step), but we also help you to create your platform to be sure your message reaches the masses.
Tell us about yourself
I began writing children's books to inspire children that all things were possible as long as they believed. It is still a passion of mine to publish children's books and help others publish their children's books. When I started to travel around and speak about my books, I learned through my audience that my inspirational messages were impacting not only children but also the adults reading the books to them. I began to understand that everyone has a story to share, and this process can be healing and empowering. This led to our anthology series, Inspired Impact Books, where people can contribute a chapter to the books and still fulfill their dream of being part of a best-selling book. Everything we do is centered around helping people make their dreams come true because we truly believe it is all possible.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We have published 466 #1 Best-selling Authors through Kate Butler Books. Our greatest achievement is being able to assist this many people in their greatest achievement.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Managing time! I have gotten much, much better over the last 10 years of owning Kate Butler Books, but there is still so much more I want to do, and sometimes I wish I could expand time even more!!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Go for it. One step at a time. The only wrong you can do is not do anything. Because even if you make a mistake, it is the feedback you can learn from, which also still helps you move the needle.
