What's your business, and who are your customers?
I own a luxury hair salon that offers higher-end services such as Blonding, dimensional color, and Hair extensions!
Tell us about yourself
I've been a hairstylist for 11 years, and I have always loved the opportunity to help a woman feel beautiful and empowered! I wanted to do extensions to amplify that feeling for a woman, so I dabbled into a dews brands on extensions after getting certified to install extensions and never found the hair that suited my clients' wants and needs. So I decided to launch my own extension line to cater to my clients and also other stylists!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Opening my salon and my extension line at the same time!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Time management and organization. ! Trying to wear all the hats to make sure everyone is happy.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Stay organized from the beginning, delegate, where you can to relieve unnecessary stressors, and stay true to your brand and yourself.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Don't chase the money; chase the dream. The money is the perk, but If you are chasing the dream, you'll get to where you want to be, and you'll enjoy the ride.
