What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run a global Life, Career, and Business coaching service online. My customers are from 16-89, and all want to make positive changes in their life and career or business, embracing new tech and creativity. I make my sessions fun and motivational.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business 12 years ago whilst working part-time and raising my kids. I have been inspired by developing, coaching, and mentoring my staff teams in Housing development and services. I like to use lots of techniques to help them discover and reach their potential and gain confidence and skills for their future.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Developing a new business online and in person from just a to-do list and book on How to Start Your Own Business. Being able to leave my old job and become self-employed. Getting lovely feedback from my clients has really motivated me. I am often asked to speak on local and national radio in the UK.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest things that come with being a business owner are managing your time and organising appointments, meetings, etc., to achieve a good work-life balance. I never work at weekends. Promoting a good example for my clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Do a competitor analysis and honestly assess the market potential.
Visualise a day/week in the role and check if the workload still energises you. This includes your ability to invest in social media marketing and good branding.
Get some trusted associates/ collaborations to support you. Smile!
