What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Kalya Veda, we create herbs and supplements based on the ancient holistic system of Ayurveda to enable self-care and balance in our customers’ lives. We only create what we want to take, clean and mindfully sourced ingredients.
Tell us about yourself
I started my journey as a Makeup Artist living in Spain. After living there for ten years, I moved to New York, and I continue developing myself as a multi-talented individual who can work across various platforms. From the fashion industry to a design agency, and currently working as Founder and CEO of Kalya Veda. My strengths lie in attention to detail and finding creative and holistic solutions that help individuals live healthy and purposeful life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being a solopreneur, I have been able to reach my targets. And getting on Social media (specifically TikTok) and representing my brand was a total game-changer for my business. Along with building a brand, I have also planted thousands of trees with my partnership with One Tree Planted and have been able to give back to the environment.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Wearing multiple hats along with raising two little humans.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just do it - The only way to know if it works or not is by doing it!
- Believe in your instincts - You know what's right. If you can't decide, try meditating, and a calm mind will have more clarity!
- Be kind to everyone and surround yourself with uplifting people.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Every small business should be on Tiktok. 6 months ago, I started my Tiktok journey, which changed my business. And all I do is educate people about Ayurveda and holistic living - my products just sell along the journey! The best part - I have a community to fall back on! Get on TikTok!
