What's your business, and who are your customers?
Kaito Coffee Roasters is a coffee roasting business that sells specialty coffee to customers in our neighbourhood as well as online.
Tell us about yourself
I spent years in the restaurant business, and during the pandemic, I would go to sleep dreaming about espresso, which is when I made the decision to get into the coffee business. The motivation to stay in this industry has always been that it gives me the opportunity to share something that both I and everybody else involved in the process are incredibly passionate about.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I don't think there are specific accomplishments that I can point to. Running this business has felt like a constant culmination of small accomplishments leading to something that is constantly growing and evolving.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Your days never really end! There's always something else to do, and nothing is ever perfect. You just do your best and keep moving forward.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
