Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in advertising services but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Motty Osher, Founder of K2 Analytics INC., located in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Las Vegas Based Digital Marketing Agency. Serving mostly local businesses and small businesses with their online presence.

Tell us about yourself

I was originally from Israel, where I was a Marketing Manager for a Racing Company when I realized there was a void for small business marketing management. It was very complicated for business owners, and no one offered a single one-stop solution. So I started KCS Brands with the intention of helping businesses build a strong online presence. It was a boutique operation — we provided a one-stop shop for all of our clients when it came to digital marketing. We had aspirations to grow, and in 2015 we did just that. That year, we rebranded KCS Brands into K2 Analytics Inc. and became a Certified Google Ad Partner. Today, our agency manages hundreds of projects annually. We have a wide array of clients in just about every industry, from locally-owned businesses to nationwide brands.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Bringing a group of people together, creating a team, and delivering success to our clients is by far the best accomplishment. During COVID, we needed to find ways to be extremely creative to keep our clients relevant, and managing to do that and not cutting down on my staff is a huge accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Definitely the administrative side. Hiring nowadays is probably the hardest task in the business, and finding good people is becoming very difficult.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

I think the first and most important tip will be - Take a piece of paper, write down your vision, your goal, and why you are doing it. It's not easy, but once every few months, open that note and remind yourself why you are where you are. If you are still within the vision, you are good to go; if not, either change the vision or change your path.

Many people are saying listen only to yourself, and I agree with that, but only when it comes to how you do things, not if you should follow someone else's idea. Your "Inner You" knows what is best for you, and although you might not succeed with any idea or project along the way, you will stay true to yourself, and that's what entrepreneurs want the most.
