Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Justine Beauregard, Creative Business Strategist located in Boston, MA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help people with purpose build thriving businesses their way.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a Creative Business Strategist who puts people first and profits second. My days are often spent helping people invest their time and money wisely - and simplifying business concepts to ensure you're clear and confident about how to show up and share what you sell. I'm a mom of two loving, high-energy boys who's married to my best friend. I'm also someone who has scaled multiple businesses to multiple 7-figures. I adore books that challenge and change my perspective, like The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, Atomic Habits by James Clear, and Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek. I'm a big fan of children-focused charities and have raised over $1M for educational nonprofits. Most of all, I love seeing brilliant people with great ideas go from hidden gems to trusted leaders.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've helped solopreneurs grow by 2,300%+ in revenue in 90 days while minimizing their expenses and the time they spend on low-impact actions.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Learning how to shift from an employee to an employer mindset. It's easy to overcomplicate simple tasks, consume more than I create, and spin out in mind drama. A clear plan and healthy boundaries are key!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Trust yourself. Your first instinct is usually a good one, and backtracking or second-guessing yourself only wastes time and energy.
  2. Aspire to make a difference, and the dollars will follow. When you focus on the money, it's hard to come by, but when you focus on showing up and helping people, it comes back to you tenfold.
  3. Plan less, do more. Only 20% of your actions contribute to your growth. I wasted so much time on gorgeous spreadsheets I never even used - skip a lot of planning and just get out there! You can clean it all up later (that is if you even need to).
