What's your business, and who are your customers?
Pop up Quilt shop, custom quilter, Quilt Sales, quilt fabric supplier. My customers are quilters and quilt lovers.
Tell us about yourself
I began quilting when my kids were small, and it was something practical that I could do at home. There is something magical about making something useful out of raw material and your imagination.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Sharing the love and skill of quilting with anyone who will listen!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I find it difficult to keep track of business paperwork. It distracts me from the creative process.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You need to have a passion for your craft or business.
- Time must not exist as a tangible factor. It takes time that it takes. The result is what is important.
- You need to have reasonable expectations as to timeline and success and be willing to work for free for some time.
