What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have a small shop focusing on mindfulness tools for kids and adults. This includes affirmation cards, prints, a mindfulness game card that teaches kids about gratitude, and affirmation jewelry, as well as a book that I've co-authored honouring the journey of motherhood.
Tell us about yourself
My kids are my inspiration. My goal is to provide them with tools that will help inspire and encourage a positive mindset and nurture their heart and soul. Children are the future, and we can help support them by providing an environment where they can thrive.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To be honest, my biggest accomplishment isn't just about selling cards but connecting with parents, caregivers, and teachers who are able to take my product, use them with their kids and students and continue spreading my goal of helping instill a positive mindset within the little ones.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There are a lot of challenges. Being a small shop owner means the budget for everything isn't big. With the increasing cost of everything, it is sometimes difficult to decide how to pass on some of these costs to customers vs. big corporations who can sell things at a lower retail price. I also have to rely on people to share and tag us on social media to help spread the word on some level because the marketing budget is small.
