What's your business, and who are your customers?

We own 8 organizations; however, Next Level Connected provides full-service business solutions to businesses large and small. We serve an extremely diverse set of clients in the following industries:

Tell us about yourself

I am a serial entrepreneur and Chief Technology Officer who partners with CEOs, executives, and other entrepreneurs to provide customized business solutions, including full IT/Technology solutions, contact center services, marketing, advertising, social media management, and property management services. After spending almost 20 years designing, implementing, and managing Boeing's global security networks, writing programs for NASA, and providing support and solutions for multimillion-dollar brands and startups, I know what truly drives customer conversions and business optimization - All your technology solutions provided in one location. Allow your team to focus on what they specialize in while we take care of the rest!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to give back to others and the community while continuing to grow successfully in our businesses. Next Level Connected has a unique work model. We have developed partnerships with state Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies and other organizations with the goal of hiring a diverse workforce comprised of Americans with disabilities. Many of our team members can work from a customized home setup. In addition, all of the net proceeds from the contact center division are given back to our team member's local communities.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As the owner of 8 organizations, finding work-life balance is one of the greatest challenges. We are on call 24/7 and often have to make hard decisions to ensure the success of our team and the business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Build a great team of leaders and treat them well/like family. Your team is your business. We make it a priority to invest in our team members to help them grow both personally and professionally. We aim to create a diverse and inclusive culture that people want to be a part of. If you take care of your team, your team will take care of your business.
  2. Be adaptable and willing to change your original plan based on how things evolve.
  3. Set goals for yourself, your organization, and your team quarterly, and analyze those results and achievements frequently in order to remain profitable and scalable.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Christy and I are the owners of 8 organizations. We have been featured on numerous podcasts, blogs, and media resources. We have been keynote speakers for some of the country's most impactful communities. We pride ourselves on being cheerleaders for all business owners and their team members. We are an open book when it comes to sharing the secrets of building better cultures and employee-centric workspaces. As busy parents of four, CEO and CTOs and serial entrepreneurs, Advisory Board Members, volunteers for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, and advocates for various nonprofit organizations, we are on a mission to celebrate great ideas, show off incredible ambitions, and help our clients and team members leave a positive imprint on their communities.
