What's your business, and who are your customers?

We provide strategic financial guidance to start-up and ramping clients in the industries that we believe matter most to future society: Renewable Energy & Real Estate with a Purpose, Ed Tech, Advanced Computing, Climate Tech, and Health Tech.

Tell us about yourself

I got started in this business when my last start-up went bankrupt because I couldn't see what was financially coming to the corner, and hit; we hit a brick wall. We are motivated each day to guide our clients towards their financial north star. To some, that is a successful financial exit; to others, sustainable growth and to our favorites who are attempting to wake up each day and change their industry and maybe the world around them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Finding business partners who share a vision, the structure to govern, and the commitment to be unique. Our clients play the heroes and have incredible success stories based on our strategic guidance, but our team members working 85% FTE in finance, receiving 110% industry life/work/play balance, and accomplishing 200% client satisfaction reviews are our key metrics.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Knowing what you don't know and working tirelessly to seek out that knowledge from others with expertise who are willing to share.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Think global, act local.
  2. Stop planning and start it, then review, iterate, and repeat daily.
  3. Find a market need and fill it.
