What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is a dance studio. My customers are dancers of all ages. Mostly ages 5-30 years old.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business because I grew up in a dance studio, so I've always dreamed of creating my own. What motivates me every day? I want to create a dance culture again. Too many studios compete on being the best dance studio instead of trying to build an awesome dance community that works together for the love of dance. So my all-time goal is to bring it back my love for dance and leave competing in dance competitions.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner so far is opening up my dance studio in the middle of the pandemic, and I was still able to make it all work out. It was the most difficult thing I've ever done but also the most rewarding.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things for me, being a business owner, is staying on top of my finances and making sure I stay within my budget.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't give up.
  2. Reach out to resources and friends.
  3. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

As long as you are building a business around something you love and are very passionate about, you will eventually get to where you want to be. Always follow your love and your passion, and you will always be happy, no matter the outcome.
