What's your business, and who are your customers?
Social Skills Laboratory, PLLC. Speech therapy and social groups. I work with students/young adults of all ages who struggle with social skills, social anxiety, articulation, language development, etc.
Tell us about yourself
I used to be a teacher and then transitioned into being an SLP. I first started my business as a side hustle five years ago and gradually grew it into a full-time business. I took my business full-time three years ago and have loved the experience! I love working with students and seeing them develop new skills, build friendships and thrive!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Growing into a full-time speech therapy practice on my own.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Setting healthy work-life boundaries.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be OK making mistakes, grind, grind and be creative!
