What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a Restaurant and gift shop. Our customers are mostly from HRM, and then in the summer, we have customers from all over the world.

Tell us about yourself

My business was started over 50 years ago by my Dad. I really am proud of the business we have built up over those 50 years. I start every day with how we can do better. Being a better boss and providing a memorable experience for my guest my goal.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I think my Team and I have elevated our business in the last year, and I'm very proud of what we've accomplished in one year.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I find productive communication a challenge. I think to be able to communicate effectively is one of the hardest things I try to do. Good, honest, and clear communication is a must.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Know your business, Hire good people, and Ask for help. Other business leaders are willing to give advice; don't be afraid to ask for it.
