What's your business, and who are your customers?

Our business is primarily focused on Commercial and Advertising photography and video production, so we work with medium to large companies and Advertising and Marketing agencies.

Tell us about yourself

So when I was 25, I received a camera for Christmas, and long story short, I was completely hooked. I couldn't put the camera down. I soon realized that photography was all I wanted to do for a living, but that I needed training to the level where I could entertain making a living as a Photographer. So I went back to school and completed a two-year program at NSCC here in Halifax. I had the good fortune to be taught by an actual Advertising Photographer who had recently transitioned to teaching. And once I became aware of the fact that I could possibly be an Advertising Photographer, I was all in, and it was all I wanted to do. Fast forward to today, and I am just as excited or more about what I get to do than ever.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The fact that I am still in business and that we are still growing and expanding our offerings.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

It's really all-consuming. You really have to be okay with that going in. I hardly ever shut it off, mostly because I love it so much. It certainly isn't a 9-5 type of career, but again, I can't imagine doing anything else.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Find a business or a business idea that you are totally in love with and go after it. And you will never work another day in your life.
