Tell us about yourself
I am a BIPOC womxn, immigrant, and entrepreneur, and I know what it's like to feel lost in your own country. Finding the confidence and drive to help you reach your goals can be hard when you feel like everyone around you is trying to hold you back. Or finding the support of a professional who understands your cultural roots. I discovered that I was not alone in this. Many friends or colleagues all shared the same or similar experiences. What stood out to me is that we lacked support from professionals, whether therapists or coaches. Looking back, I wish I had support from someone who truly understood me. I had to figure it all out by myself. I am passionate about empowering others to find their desired outcomes.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is when I hear back from clients, and I feel, hear and see the joys of life. I have a client that strengthened her relationship with her husband; they were discussing separation, a client who became a homeowner/property manager under the age of 30, she was not moving back home after a toxic relationship or a client who stepped into a leadership role in her company while establishing healthy boundaries with her colleagues.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Honestly, all challenges are great, do not give any power. There is always a way.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it!
- Mistakes are your greatest teacher.
- Find the gift in everything.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Believe in yourself.
