What's your business, and who are your customers?
As a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Transformational Coach, and Breathwork Facilitator, I started with a simple and powerful mission to remind women of their divine worth and infinite potential, regardless of the challenges they've faced in their past. My personal journey has inspired a deeper desire to empower and support transformation in my clients' lives. It literally sets my soul on fire to create a safe and loving space for women as they tap into the innate power that has been inside of them all along. This work is done through one-to-one coaching programs, breathwork and trauma release sessions, transformational online programs, and group support coaching. I specialize in areas of self-awareness, breathwork, meditation, inner child work, emotional integration, belief clearing, and growth mindset coaching, to name a few. We're seeing the need for this work now more than ever. Our world as a collective whole is experiencing a shift of utmost importance, and as we brave the inward journey, our light shines brighter and illuminates the way for those around us.
Tell us about yourself
My personal journey is definitely what led me here and what has fueled my passion for helping other women. In my late twenties, out of nowhere, I started to experience depression, anxiety, frequent panic attacks, extreme fatigue, and just an overall feeling of hopelessness. Years of suppressed emotional pain, trauma, and living an unhealthy lifestyle started to manifest in my physical body. This was my first glimpse into the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. I made a decision to throw away the prescription medications and enrolled in a program for holistic nutrition. This gave me the tools that I needed to heal my own body, and through holistic health coaching, I helped other women do the same. But I started to realize that physical healing was just one piece of the overall puzzle. Even though I was now eating healthy and teaching my clients to do the same - mental, emotional, and spiritual health still needed to be addressed. Through my work with both a Somatic Therapist and Spiritual Life Coach, I immersed myself in more learning, which led to Transformational Coaching and Breathwork Training. As I started to incorporate daily mindfulness practices like prayer, meditation, breathwork, and consciously shifting out of old thought patterns, those trapped emotions from unresolved pain and trauma started to shift and transform. I became more present in my body and experienced what it means to "feel in order to heal." I am now honored to create a safe and loving space for my clients as they embody their worth, release what no longer serves them, and create a life they love.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having the courage and strength to leave my stable career and fulfill my purpose of helping others.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I would have to say the hardest thing for me has been the fluctuations in revenue from month to month. When I was working for big corporations, I knew exactly what I earned and could budget/save accordingly. As an entrepreneur, I've had to get scrappy at times by taking on consulting projects, especially in the early stages. However, I wouldn't trade my freedom and being able to wake up every day to do what I love for anything! If this is the life you truly desire, you just figure it out and keep going.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Prioritize self-care. In order for you to be your best, I can't emphasize enough how important it is that you take care of yourself - mentally, physically, and spiritually. This includes everything from getting enough sleep, moving your body often, and scheduling what I like to call "fun time" so you can incorporate joy and laughter along the journey.
- Know that failure is not the opposite of success, but it's part of success. If I gave up every time I encountered failure, there was no way that I could ever grow my business and reach my definition of success.
- Hold true to your values. This will allow you to be authentic to yourself and your business brand and also guarantee you're working from an inspired space. That joy, positivity, and integrity will radiate out to your clients.
