What's your business, and who are your customers?

I make people prettier! Hair and makeup for all events, specializing in weddings. I love for my clients to feel beautiful on the outside, so it fills up the inside, looking like themselves but more of a "natural glammed version."

Tell us about yourself

I come from a family line of entrepreneurs. However, I am the first woman in my family to start her own business. I am the first person in my family to also receive my college degree. Growing up, being creative was viewed mostly as a hobby. Now that I am a mom, I fully support my daughter's creativity and encourage her to look at different avenues for the future that could support that gift. What motivates me is my gift of helping women feel empowered with confidence through anything beauty!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being published in Martha Stewart! Working alongside some of the biggest wedding planners and photographers internationally. Recognized as one of the top Seattle Hair & Makeup artists. Having continual work across the globe.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Wearing all the "hats."

  • Social media manager

You have to be all the things all the time and not mediocre in doing them.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be Humble Always!
  2. You are never too old or too young to start working on your dreams.
  3. Motivation and discipline are two different things. Learn the difference and stay the course.
