What's your business, and who are your customers?

Midwest Microblading is a Cosmetic and artistic tattoo shop! My clientele mostly varies from ages 18-80 men and women. Cancer survivors and people looking for hair loss solutions.

I try to create a healing and transformative experience for my customers. I want them to know that they are in a safe space to get their brows done...whether they over-plucked in the 90s or have been thru chemo and lost all hair. I love helping boost the confidence of my clients and help them feel like themselves again.

I also offer body art tattoos that can be healing for those who need a healthy release or just love the art of tattooing.

Tell us about yourself

I first got into body art tattooing, working under a friend and artist over 10 yrs ago. Eventually, that led me down a path of cosmetic tattooing, which I fell in love with.

I am motivated by all my various clients and the fact that I run my shop. I have to always be on and move, so I don't let my clients down. I want them to know that they can get quality work done and have a safe place to come and be themselves.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Having creative freedom and trust with my clients!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being on all the time and trying to keep up with all the tasks that are non-stop.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Stay organized!
  2. Ask for help when you need it.
  3. Work/ life balance. Take care of yourself.
