Plan to Retire the Way You Want to - Jeff Brandeis

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jeff Brandeis, CEO of Brandeis Financial Services, located in Palm Harbor, FL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My team and I do a really neat thing for people's financial future. We analyze people's payments to creditors like their mortgage and credit card companies. Then we produce a report that most people will pay off these debts 2-3x faster than they are currently doing now and have more money along with more benefits than they do today without spending more than they are by following our process.

Tell us about yourself

After graduating with my MBA in Taxation, my best friend at the time started a tax preparation business where we helped people minimize their taxes. I eventually joined the corporate world and worked with CPAs across the Americas in providing them with the best tax software and accounting programs in the market. Now I am back to focusing on people who need help getting debt/creditor free, especially as they look at retirement.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner truly comes from watching people's faces when I present them with their numbers and how much money they can save along with how many years till they are creditor free.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One is truly building a sustainable pipeline of prospects. Getting appointments is the hardest thing, as many people think this is a scam, and it's not. I might add this is not about investing, debt consolidation, or taking out an equity loan. When people have never heard of things, they are skeptical, which I understand.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Building a business doesn't happen overnight. It's a process. You need to set goals, be consistent, and track your results and process. Use a CRM tool to automate simple things like reminders, text messages, and annual reviews. Also, your next prospect should come from a referral. Your best way of building a business is getting introduced by a customer. The last thing is always to communicate with your customers several times a year. They need to know you are there to help them with whatever your business is.
