What's your business, and who are your customers?
JaShay’s LLC in Essex County, New Jersey, strives to see small businesses thrive every single day. We exist to help new and existing entrepreneurs open a business and get it registered with the state the proper way. Count on us to provide you with useful resources that will guide you for the first three months.
Tell us about yourself
I am the owner of JaShay’s, LLC, where I have devoted my skills to administration and management for the last year. I have been a notary for the past ten years. I have overseen various clients, most of them over the past ten years. I successfully obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in 2013, in addition to receiving my certification in Microsoft Office Suites three years prior in 2010. With my certification and degree, I have successfully opened four businesses, including a lounge, a bar, a real estate school, and a real estate company, all of which I've been the thriving key to their past and current success.
I continuously stay interconnected and involved in their ongoing plans for future success. I currently manage 2 of the 4 businesses daily. They are excelling with rave reviews. Through commitment and dedication, I have remained consistent throughout my career.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment thus far as a business owner, I would have to say, is becoming one of the finalists for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Awards.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things is being away from my kids. It's not enough hours in a day sometimes to ensure that I get to spend that quality time with them.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make sure whatever you do is something that you love so that it doesn't feel like work.
- Stay up to date in all fields of your business.
- Enjoy yourself like it's your last!
