What's your business, and who are your customers?

With over 60 successful advisory, research, and communications projects, including content strategy and business development, my team and I partner with North American food and beverage companies in the agriculture, nutrition, and health sectors to build creative solutions that deliver results. As an industry thought leader, author, and writer, I am a frequent speaker, guest, and commentator in the media circuit with over 250 insightful articles, blogs, interviews, and presentations.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a well-respected thought leader in the food industry with credentials as a Registered Dietitian and a Nutrition Science degree from the University of Guelph (Canada's leading food university). I've been an entrepreneur most of my adult life and love the ability to lead, create and implement projects quickly, efficiently, on time, and on a budget for my clients. I'm motivated by my many accomplishments. Everyday motivation includes the joy I get from impacting, improving, and creating change in the industry.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Consumers' focus on health and wellness is at an all-time high. My team and I have the expertise, education, and industry knowledge to maximize our capacity to strategize, innovate and communicate customized solutions to accelerate business growth from the pod to plate.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The responsibility.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Find a solution to a gap in the marketplace, understand your target market, and be flexible when you need to pivot.
