What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a life and business coach for spiritual entrepreneurs. These are typically solopreneurs who are often right-brained empathic people. They may believe they lack funds to make their businesses financially successful, or perhaps they feel overwhelmed with the marketing/sales side of running their own businesses. Most of them start their business as a side hustle that they love doing, but they may not know how to turn their passion into a viable career option.

Tell us about yourself

I was blessed to be raised in a household where self-healing was a prevalent experience. Having done my own healing work, I believe wholeheartedly that the wounds we carry are our biggest blessings. It’s hard to see that when we are stuck in the story. Each experience is about the journey, and our mindset determines how we hold the experience in our hearts. Seeing someone shift from fear or anger to love or compassion gets me all warm and fuzzy inside.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is when I see my clients grow beyond me. There is something very satisfying about being honored by witnessing them become a better version of themselves and sprout their wings to fly to even greater success. Their success invokes in me a feeling of gratitude that I genuinely appreciate when working with new or struggling entrepreneurs.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As a business owner, the number of solicitations I receive sometimes feels overwhelming. When I remind myself that “Overwhelm is a misperception of abundance” (as stated by a colleague, Megan Camille), this thought helps me understand that when I get these solicitations, I am receiving an abundance. I am gaining notoriety. I am in a position to help or hinder their growth, too. I take that role very seriously.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start NOW. There’s no time or gift like the present, and tomorrow may never come.
  2. Become a FAN. Cheering others on is your best key to success because the Universe matches that energy and sends it right back to you – big time!
  3. Get comfortable with being UNCOMFORTABLE. If you’re trying to become successful, you haven’t experienced it yet. That means you are complacent. The only thing that will change your circumstances is change itself.
