Tell us about yourself
Growing up in a health-oriented family, I was always taught healthy and balanced eating nutrition articles in newspapers and/or magazines were always my favorite columns to read. Moreover, exploring world cuisines and learning about the nutritional rationale behind traditional practices has always been my area of interest. Having said that, I knew exactly which profession would suit me the best!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having established 3 locations in a span of fewer than four years (and there's no stopping!) seems to be my biggest achievement as a business owner, but as a registered dietitian, getting positive feedback from clients when they get back to me and say how they feel better and have successfully achieved their fitness-related goals through my nutritional advice/intervention makes me feel super accomplished and rewarded as a clinician.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Facing hurdles in keeping up with the flow of clients, especially in the initial years of business, is the hardest thing one can face in this business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be open to unanticipated challenges and work on resolving them vs. getting frustrated.
- Be cost-efficient in running your business operations.
- Be patient.
