What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own an online-only exotic snack business. We import snacks from all over to satisfy that sweet tooth. Our customers are foodies who love to try new things.

Tell us about yourself

I love food but have not been able to travel as much as I would like. I have always wanted to travel the world and try the local cuisine. What better way to travel than taking your tastebuds on a trip? I figured other countries would have similar snacks but more geared toward their palates.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment so far has been getting on the news and sharing my product with my community.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being a business owner is a tiresome gig. Sometimes you put all of your efforts just to fall short. Your business will give back what you put into it. That being said, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make sure you have a support system if things start to get rough.
  2. The customer is not always right. Put your business and well-being first.
  3. If you're going to start a business, give it everything you have. You only back what you put into it.
