What's your business, and who are your customers?
Love and Happiness is an organic wellness brand that specializes in self-care essentials. We can make clean candles, meditation crystals, and bath essentials. We believe that our communities deserve access to nontoxic products that do not attack their vital organs. All of our offerings are eco-friendly handmade and ethically sourced.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business in 2018 after being laid off from my corporate employer. I started searching for ways to incorporate self-care every day to manage anxiety. I’m motivated simply by just being able to experience life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is just really trusting myself. I remember the night before I launched my first product, I couldn’t sleep, and the very next day, when we launched, I got two orders, and I literally cried all day. I couldn’t believe my dream actually came to fruition.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I think for me, it’s the competition within the industry and having to set healthy boundaries. I’m protecting my business, legacy, and intellectual property and its hard work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My top three tips that I would give anyone that is looking to start a business right now are to always trust yourself have a growth mindset and be patient.
