What's your business, and who are your customers?
My name is Jackie Ulmer, and I am a Peak Performance Mindset, Health, and Life Coach, helping women get off the "Struggle Bus" and upgrade to a first-class life, avoid turbulence and put their own oxygen mask on first! Together, we work to get you out of Autopilot and create a successful flight plan for life, health, career, and relationship success.
Tell us about yourself
I come from a background in aviation, married a pilot, and started a family, and yet I longed for more. I didn't want a traditional job, so I launched a career in Direct Sales as a complete skeptic. Determined to succeed and be part of the 3% who do make it work vs. the 97% who don't, I fumbled my way to success. In 1999, I took my business online, and everything changed almost instantly. While it wasn't always easy, with no background in "tech" or computers, where there is a will, there is a way, and I marketed my way to the top of the search engines and my company pay plan.
Over time, I launched a coaching and training company and worked to help others get out of their own way, push past limiting beliefs and put themselves out there to be found, and create an impact for others. As many businesses do, mine eventually pivoted to working with women on their limiting beliefs in the three core areas of life - weight/self-image relationships, and money!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Top 1% of earners in Network Marketing, while inspiring and encouraging others to step into their amazing self-image of themselves and create the success they desire.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Spinning plates, wearing all the hats, and getting it all done. As a solopreneur, one must get very focused, disciplined, and adept at planning and executing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I focus on my 3 Cs - Clarity, commitment, and consistency. Clarity on WHAT you sell, WHO you sell it to, and WHY they want it. Commitment to "whatever it takes to master your success" and consistency to show up every day and be willing to be BAD to be good, and GOOD to be GREAT!
