What's your business, and who are your customers?

Ivy is all about great hair, but great hair isn’t just about the picture you saw on your Insta feed, but an understanding of your lifestyle, hair goals, complexion, and creating custom colors designed to match. Our clients are those seeking to upgrade their hair experience and start loving their hair again.

Tell us about yourself

Starting my career at the young age of 19, my passion for this industry runs deep as I’m an artist at heart. I strive to push the envelope and step out of my comfort zone because that is when the most growth happens. I have always gravitated to new people, hearing their stories and trying to find a positive way to impact their lives. Staying motivated throughout my career has been easy because I know my clients are leaving feeling confident, happy, and encouraged.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment would have to be hitting a point of success in my career where I can now help others. I am currently preparing to launch a consulting business, Salon Profit Recovery Partners, which helps individual stylists’ grow their revenue by analyzing their finances and developing a personalized strategy to lead them to success! What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As a small business owner, I am responsible for it all, inventory, photography, marketing, and employees. A lot is dependent on you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Just go for it. Every risk has a reward!
Listen to others; some of my best ideas came from just listening.
Create boundaries from the start with work/life balance.
