What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a state-of-the-art hot yoga studio. Our mission is to create a space where you can explore your potential through yogic movements and breathing.

Tell us about yourself

I fell in love with the practice in California back in 2007. It helped me tremendously, not just physically but mentally as well. I met my teacher, Dr. Madan Bali, in 2011 (he's 100 years old now). I did his teacher training, and I was inspired to open our studio ten years later.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening as new business right when COVID happened and persevering for three consecutive shutdowns. I felt blessed that we were surrounded by a beautiful community.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is realizing that you have to pay attention to the small details all the time. It is the little details that change the experience for our clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Chose a business that you are passionate about. This will be your fuel in the face of adversity.
  2. Work on yourself. You will realize that in the end, your energy imbues the culture you create.
  3. Even in the most difficult of situations, when you haven't slept and you are exhausted, find a small moment to enjoy the stage you're at. Extreme situations can oftentimes bring a sense of aliveness.
