Wild Purpose - Inner Wild Coaching & Meditation

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Rachel Bellinger, founder of Inner Wild Coaching & Meditation, located in Freeland, WA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a spiritual leadership coach, meditation teacher, and mindfulness educator, helping visionary women and heart-centered companies connect to their wild genius and unleash their soul's purpose in the world. I work with founders and creatives, leaders and mamas, entrepreneurs and executives who are tired of settling, done playing small, and ready to express their authentic gifts in alignment with their true nature.

Tell us about yourself

Originally from the Midwest, I went to college in Colorado, where I stumbled into my first yoga class my freshman year and discovered the profound power of meditation and yoga. I got my MBA in Boston and embarked on an extremely unfulfilling corporate career. Longing for more meaning and impact, in 2016, I quit my successful start-up job. I went on sabbatical in India, Bali, and Thailand. I studied and practiced yoga, meditation, and ancient wisdom. When I came back to the US, I was committed to bringing my calling to life, which I did! I am constantly inspired by the women I get to work with, and seeing them step into their power and truth is the most rewarding aspect of my work.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I quit a pretty toxic job and went full-time in my business alongside the birth of my son and myself as a mother right at the start of the pandemic. Exhausted as I was as a new mother, I was ignited by creative energy and a fierce devotion to harnessing my gifts in the service of others. Taking this leap of faith and coming from such a heart-centered place from the beginning enabled me to connect with clients really quickly.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Working with bigger clients and more accomplished women can trigger imposter syndrome and self-doubt. It's so important for me to stay true to myself and not try to be anyone else. When I share from my experience and teach what I really know, there's a relief and a resonance that makes me really good at what I do. Remembering that who I am is enough allows me to continue to grow my impact, take risks, and expand my gifts.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find a mentor(s) you trust, respect, and can hold a vision for your highest potential. Limit seeking advice to a select few.
  2. Develop a deep connection to your own intuition and follow your inner guidance outside of your comfort zone often.
  3. Establish a daily meditation habit in order to focus on what's most important, stay grounded on the entrepreneurial roller coaster, and cultivate the courage to be yourself.
