What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Infused Banking, we strive to set the standard for research, education, training, and advisory and expert witness services. We are here to help bring the cannabis and banking industries together to find solutions, talk openly, and build relationships to power the future of this exciting industry.
Tell us about yourself
When I worked at a venture capital firm in San Francisco in the late 1990s, I was introduced to the exciting world of entrepreneurship. Companies were popping up all over the internet as e-commerce was coming online, and I was lucky enough to be a part of this paradigm shift and watch some incredible companies start up, grow, and become part of our consumer ecosystem. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to start my own company.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was having to wear many hats and figure things out like accounting and finance. My degree is in marketing, and I'm a professional event manager, so having to learn skills and do things I had never done before was exhilarating.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the best parts of being a business owner is that the effort I put into my business directly rewards the work I'm doing on a daily basis. This is very inspiring. On the flip side, everything that goes wrong also directly impacts the work I'm doing, and this can be very scary because there is so much that goes into running a business. The risk is real, but so is the reward!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it!
- Find people who think differently than you and respect their opinions. You need contrarians.
- Be who you are, and do what you love.
