What's your business, and who are your customers?
Index Health uses root cause medicine to reverse and prevent disease using lab tests and personalized and specialized medical staff.
Tell us about yourself
My mom was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2017. She ran from doctor's office to doctor's office, looking for a solution. And all they did was throw prescription medication at her. After a year of seeing no results and feeling worse, she decided to take her health into her own hands. She found a doctor who specializes in personalized medicine.
The doctor took advanced lab tests to get to the root cause of why this disease appeared. They collected thousands of data points on her body using advanced lab tests and identified what the causes were. They then gave her a personalized plan and checked in frequently, collecting more data and tracking progress over time. After about 12 months of working with the clinic, she reversed what she had.
Going through this got me thinking: why isn't all of the medicine this data-driven, analytical and personalized? Why aren't we taking the same analytical approach for cancer, diabetes, child autism, Alzheimer's reversal and prevention, and more?
The more research I did, the more I realized that there are people doing this. But on a very small scale. Doctors like Dale Bredensen have been successful at reversing early to mid-stage Dementia using this analytical and personalized approach.
Dr. Terry Wahls has successfully reversed MS as well for herself and her patients. But until today, accessibility to personalized medicine is limited and unscalable.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
When I was 22, I started Germany's largest online bank for businesses (>$80M in VC, 300 employees, 50,000 businesses). With Index, I've helped serve 100s of patients whose health we've helped dramatically improve, which includes: reversing disease, getting off of medication, and more.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Myself. I'm my own biggest enemy. It's a constant struggle!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Speak to as many (potential or current) customers as possible.
- Get a routine and read A LOT.
- Surround yourself with people who are 10x smarter than you.
