What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business - Impound Comics: and my customers are comic book and anime fans.
Tell us about yourself
I always wrote stories about superheroes and villains, but in the form of novels or movie scripts. After seeing the movie Black Panther in 2018, I decided to convert one of my character ideas into a comic book series called Impound. After the first book release in November 2020, our brand began.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is receiving a platinum plaque for managing an artist named Marmar Oso. I used the royalties from the record to help fund my comic book company.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is surrounding yourself with good people to help build your brand. Fortunately, I found some early!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Promote your brand every day like nobody has ever heard of you.
- Marketing is the most important part of building your brand.
