What's your business, and who are your customers?

Immersaf Media specializes in photography, 360 photography, and 3d Laser scanning. Our main clients are architects and building owners who hire us for one of two main reasons.

  1. They want to show off their space virtually. Think Google street view inside their space, but they own it, and it can be interactive.
  2. They want us to document their space. Think architect drawings. We scan their space with a 3D laser scanner and turn the resulting 3D measurements into highly accurate and detailed drawings for construction use.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business at the end of 2019 because my job with an insurance company was moving to another state, and I didn't want to. I started mainly focusing on brand photography. COVID quickly changed that focus. I thrive on autonomy. I'm motivated each day by being the master of my day. I'm motivated each day by being able to look back at my day and think, "I did that!"

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Surviving my own decisions. Oh! And I just hired my first employee. I feel that's a significant accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Sometimes (though rare), you just don't feel like holding yourself accountable, but you have to anyway. Nowadays, I don't work on stretching my limits as much as I work on raising my rock bottom, the least I expect from myself.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a plan.
  2. Prepare for it to grow slowly (and be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't).
  3. Most importantly, Relationships Are Everything!
