Executive Relationship Coaching - Imagine Evolution
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Arno Koch, Founder of Imagine Evolution LLC., located in Malibu, CA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Relationship Coaching, business owners/ executives who want to elevate/save their relationship with or without their partner participating in the coaching.
Tell us about yourself
I have always been passionate about personal development; while following an international corporate career as an engineer in Germany, Product Manager in Switzerland, and Corporate Development in California. I became a professional business Coach in 2018. Coincidentally, my first business clients were struggling in their relationships and began to thrive again over the course of my coaching programs, with the added benefit of helping them overcome conditions like bulimia, phobias, and PTSD. When I recognized this pattern and considered my own transformation, I began to focus on elevating and healing relationships and have remained passionate about it ever since.
What motivates me each day? My 3.5-year-old son, and my 11-month-old daughter, as well as my wife and best friend. The changes that I facilitate in people sometimes seem miraculous, even to myself. I remember the client that told me about her bulimia that she overcame following my mental and emotional release process. I remember a Vietnam veteran who overcame PTSD after 50 years and couldn't believe it until three weeks after the session. Mended relationships. Forgiven mishaps, clients who call themselves version 2.0, clients who find forgiveness after holding on to things for decades. I get goosebumps as I am writing this.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The results that my clients see. Without those, there would be no business that I could be in integrity with.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Figuring things out and finding the right help. There are so many people out there offering help at a top dollar that leaves you busy, broke and exhausted, and no step closer to your goal. There is no self-made man/woman. Find the right help.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Get a coach/mentor. Ask them if they have helped someone like you or how a person they helped and you have in common and what results they got that person.
- Sales cures all. When you sell your product, then you're in business. Although the product may be what you're passionate about, selling it is more important than perfecting it. Sell it cheaper at first, then work out the kinks. There is no perfect product anyway; perfectionism is just a lack of confidence. You can understand the product you sell as a piece of art, and art never gets finished; art gets abandoned. My passion is coaching, but I have to sell it and ask for a credit card if I want to have the chance to do it. When I launched and sold my group coaching program, it didn't exist. I had a list of module titles. When the program started, I was always one week ahead of my clients until it was ready. I still improve it.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
As a relationship coach, I want to end with a few relationship tips:
Do the right thing with compassion instead of the wrong thing out of compassion. When you set a boundary, the other person will not be happy. If you don't, then neither of you will be happy, and you sacrifice authenticity for happiness. Short-lived happiness because you either come clean and uncover the deceit or continue faking that you are okay with something you're really not okay with.
Appreciation and gratitude can't be overdone. Having healthy conflict-solving habits is just part of a happy relationship. The other part is knowing what makes your partner happy and doing those things every day, like eating, drinking, and sleeping.
