What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Imagine Beyond, we integrate creativity, innovation, and people mastery to strengthen leadership skills and increase self-awareness and growth potential. Tell us about yourself
The entrepreneurial journey started with curiosity, courage, and a burning desire to help brilliant minds create an environment that brings the best out of themselves and their people. My drive to understand why we do the things we do started when I was a teenager and has been a lifelong quest ever since. I bring this deep human insight and awareness to clients individually and at a team and organisational level. My superpower from two decades spent in tech, the creative industry, and people teams means I join the dots between all these areas—creating powerful insights and deep realisations for leaders that catalyse lasting transformation.
I'm motivated by creating a positive impact and helping others achieve more than they thought possible. I have been so lucky to be inspired and influenced by many brilliant entrepreneurs throughout my career and personal life. Most notably, my amazing late father and grandfather, both of whom were business owners.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is starting with a blank sheet of paper, building a product from scratch, and bringing it to market. To do this, I had to leverage a creative mindset and identify a gap in the market and a problem to solve that combined my entire career experience. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
In the early stages, one of the hardest things is that you wear many hats CEO, Finance Director, Marketing, New Business/Sales, and also for the work we do at Imagine Beyond Design and Delivery of Workshops and Coaching/Mentoring programmes, which means you have to prioritise what's going to move your business forward and delight your clients while bringing your optimum mindset every day.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find a problem to solve that energises and excites you and combines your experience and strengths.
- Know yourself. Be self-awareness and always be learning. Only by understanding yourself can you understand others and create the best environment to achieve growth for your business.
- Connect to Founder networks. Going solo can sometimes be daunting, so surround yourself with like-minded people and be inspired, supported, and learn from each other along the way!
