What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Drop In CEO guides leaders of today and tomorrow to navigate challenges with confidence.

Tell us about yourself
After leaving corporate after 30+ years, I wanted to do more meaningful work and decided to launch Illumination Partners. I serve the C-Suite leader of small & medium size businesses that are going through a major change. I partner with them, assess the landscape, and solve the business issue, but I also elevate the people for a lasting impact.
Through this journey, I also realized my greatest strength was to focus on the leader of tomorrow and remove their barriers, as often they get stuck and lose their confidence without a support system. I love impacting just one person at a time but hoping to impact more than I can imagine.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think it was a huge accomplishment to land four clients within my first eight months, one lasting a total of 16 months. After that, it was writing a book, The CEO's Compass, as my system to help C-Suite Leaders navigate their issues with confidence. Finally, launching The Drop In CEO podcast, which is my platform to interview industry leaders and share their insights and inspiration with my audience.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Finding the processes for lead generation and client conversion. Some of it is through brute force and filling the top of the funnel. The other is through finding amazing referral partners who vouch for my work usually leading to a high close rate.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Always be prospecting.
- Network with a strategy.
- Build your own platform to project your brand.
- Don't chase others.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I love meeting new people and speaking with groups to share my insights and hopefully inspire. I also love connecting with people who I may be able to bring onto my podcast and create meaningful relationships.
