What's your business, and who are your customers?
At I Prefer Craft Coffee, our mission is to provide you with the best specialty small-batch coffee beans in the market. Our craft coffee beans are sourced responsibly from small independent farms and are handpicked to guarantee quality and freshness. Additionally, we roast our craft coffee on the lighter side to preserve the unique flavors of each bean without being overwhelmed by too much roast coverup.
We specialize in roasting excellent SCA-rated Honey & Natural processed specialty coffee beans and are committed to providing our customers with fresh craft coffee with same-day shipping when ordered before 12 PM EST Monday - Friday. Our roast-to-order process ensures each small batch coffee order is at its peak of freshness when it arrives at your doorstep.
I Prefer Craft Coffee shows dedication to every coffee bean as each bag is hand-labeled and hand-packed - creating an effortless and unique experience with each purchase. Treat yourself to craft coffee the way it's meant to be: fresh-roasted, on-demand, and bursting with flavor. I Prefer Craft Coffee brings you coffee that's simply unparalleled in taste and quality.
Our customers are typically millennials who are looking for a new and unique craft coffee experience, and we provide them with a personalized, curated coffee experience.
Tell us about yourself
Hello, my name is Andrew, and I'm the proud owner of I Prefer Craft Coffee. I started this business out of my passion for coffee and my love for unique and exquisite flavors. I am absolutely in love with the sensory experience - the positive or negative experience we go through when we taste unique flavors and smell tantalizing aromas. Each day, I am motivated to offer customers an exceptional coffee experience that they will never forget, I am also motivated by their interest in learning about specialty coffee, so I am thrilled to teach them through my new Coffee Learning Blog.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of my biggest accomplishments as a business owner is learning from my failures. I had failed in my first three businesses, but instead of giving up, I decided to use them as an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop. I implemented my newfound knowledge to create I Prefer Craft Coffee, which is now thriving and making a positive impact on people's everyday lives.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being a business owner comes with its challenges, but one of the hardest things is developing a process and system that ensures a steady flow of working capital. There's no formula for success that's handed over to entrepreneurs; hence, we must develop and improve systems in every aspect of our business continually.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
For anyone looking to start, run, and grow a business today, I have three tips. Firstly, never give up on your dreams, even when you fail ten or more times. Secondly, always be willing to learn, grow and develop from your failures, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends, practices, and skills too. Finally, work tirelessly to implement systems and processes that promote sustainability, quality, and consistency throughout your business.
