I am a protagonist of tech inclusion, championing the importance of education on bias and privilege in my work as Founder & CEO of Hustle Crew, VP of Global Community & Belonging at Brandwatch, and co-host of the Techish podcast.
In 2016, I published my career advice book, Dream Big, Hustle Hard: A Millennial Woman's Guide to Success in Tech, which is rated five stars on Amazon. In 2018, I was named to the Financial Times list of the Top 100 Influential Leaders in Tech. My work has been featured in Elle, Stylist, BBC, Forbes, The Times, Bloomberg, and The Independent.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I was recently included in the Financial Times list of the Top 100 Influential Leaders in Tech and Tech Nation's 50 most prominent and influential voices in Tech.
I graduated from the London School of Economics in 2009 and wrote for the Financial Times before joining London's tech scene. Prior to my current roles, I worked at Product Hunt, Elpha, Amazon, HotelTonight, and Groupon, where I was promoted after my first eight months and helped scale my department 5X leading up to their record-breaking IPO.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
No one wants to be the first engineer or first marketer who's Latinx on the team. No one ever wants to be the first. But people are happy to be the third, fourth, or fifth.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
If you want to be the person attracting top talent and retaining top talent, you also need to have that representation there. Set up to adapt and evolve to whoever your customers might be by ensuring that people are responsible for adapting and changing your product and your service within your team.
