Tell us all about your business...
Finding the real person that you are, without the limits, doubts and understanding the challenges. If someone is keen to learn about themselves, their internal world, and enhance communication skills then I love to work with them. Whether that an individual or a business.
What's your background and motivation to get into the solopreneur life?
I didn't used to believe in myself and had a lot of doubt and negativity. I embarked on a journey of looking for answers. I trained as a counsellor, CBT, a coach, NLP all moving me closer to the answers. I read loads and have created a business where I can support others to do the same, although hopefully fast tracked. I am inspired by people taking their vulnerability, being courageous and finding a new path.
Associated with my own journey, I am the author of a book in which I share much of what I have learned, experienced throughout my personal and professional life.
As a business owner, what does success ultimately mean to you?
When someone messages you and says things like I feel completely different, I have found my voice, I am taking steps to my dream, I love life, my life has changed.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Sometimes it can be lonely. Even though I talk with people all day, it is important to seek out people to chat about my business. Also I have so many ideas, and not always the skills to make them happen.
What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a business today?
1) Know that you are good enough and can 2) See anything that doesn't work as feedback 3) Chunk tasks and goals down so you feel like you are achieving
If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?
Keep believing!
What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?
Make sure when I am off, leave any thinking to another time (prob note the ideas down). Get into nature and connect with my friends and family. Simple pleasure. Eat well.
Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and best business resources/books??
Brene Brown, she is my inspiration. I like her honesty and her ability to make the audience resonate with her message. Brene's Ted talk on Vulnerability.
