What's your business, and who are your customers?
Honey B’s sources beautiful antique and vintage furnishings, lighting, and decor for the home. Often refurbishing, upcycling, and reinventing old pieces to bring them to a new standard and beauty. Painting techniques with high quality, lasting features, and one-of-a-kind personal style are strengths in my business. If you want your home to represent your unique personality and love for vintage, Honey B’s is your shopping Mecca!
Tell us about yourself
I love decorating, and I believe in stretching a budget to obtain the best in quality coupled with personality and taste. My own personal desire to furnish my home with beautiful finds evolved into a business as demand for my work took place. I get up each day focused on bettering the environment in which we occupy and absolutely love creating for myself and the public.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Growing my business into a well-recognized source of quality and beauty.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Recognizing my strengths and saying no to requests outside my comfort zone.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Prepare to be uncomfortable, work hard to perfect your craft, and seek support in areas where experts can assist.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I’ve done this for 25 years and have always believed in keeping my business in a space that provides life balance. I’ve never wanted it to be bigger or grow into a situation where it is stressful. That’s what keeps me grounded.
