What's your business, and who are your customers?
Home Bar Network is a mobile bartending company specializing in cocktail classes and parties featuring custom cocktail menus, superior hospitality, and always 100% fresh, handcrafted ingredients. We host unforgettable cocktail experiences for corporate events, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and weddings; you name it. Anyone with an appreciation for the fine art of a properly mixed cocktail will fall in love with Home Bar Network.
Tell us about yourself
My husband and I were inspired to start Home Bar Network in April 2020 when the world shut down. Our relationship is rooted in an immense passion for all things food and beverage - the cocktails, culture, hospitality, and history behind it all. We saw an opportunity to share that with the world while everyone was stuck at home. We have close to 25 years of experience in the industry between the two of us, and we decided, since bars were closed, let’s take that passion and channel it online and eventually take it on the road. We established our social media platforms with the goal of teaching our friends and bar regulars how to master delicious cocktails at home, and it grew from there. Our son motivates us to keep growing, learning, and pushing our creativity to the next level.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment thus far was being able to execute mobile craft cocktail bars with custom menus at a high level for several back-to-back corporate parties of 200+ guests in December.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Figuring out how to scale is a huge challenge for us.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Just get started. Don’t give up on your dreams. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. And never stop learning and challenging yourself. Growth will never happen if you’re too comfortable.
