What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a combination of a book shop, retail store, and wine bar. We service all ages (except the wine bar 19+). Our customers are lots of tourists and our locals as well.
Tell us about yourself
I worked for several years before buying the business from the former owners. I love people, and the daily interaction is always a unique and fun experience.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Becoming a destination business. Hearing people talk about their wonderful and relaxing time spent on the wine bar patio.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The responsibility of making everyday decisions. Managing staff and keeping things current.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Know your audience, keep things simple to start, and work with other businesses in your area.
