What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a certified health and wellness coach, as well as a travel coach. My clients are seeking a new way to discover wellness - something that is designed with their needs in mind. Some clients want to explore wellness travel for the first time or learn a new skill like plant-based cooking or self-care methods.

Tell us about yourself

I spent 31 years in public safety as a career firefighter. I obtained a personal trainer certification and a certificate in holistic nutrition during that time. That launched my desire to teach and coach about wellness. After retirement, I started travel writing as a hobby. Soon, I discovered that marrying my three passions - travel, coaching, and wellness, would allow me to live my purpose.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating a business from my passions, honestly. It's a labor of love.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Getting MY message out there - Wellness is about way more than diet and exercise. Wellness is about feeding your mind, body, and soul to create a healthy, happy, and whole person.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Don't stop dreaming, but do stop comparing yourself to others in your niche or industry. Nobody does it exactly the same as you do. Keep true to yourself, and the rest will follow.
