What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a from-scratch bakery and deli. Our customers come from as far as Abbotsford, BC, to get our products. We have been supplying the Semiahmoo Peninsula with fresh baked goods using local ingredients for 50 years.

Knowing our products are made with "real" ingredients. The smiles and nice comments from our customers.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Changing with the times and keeping our business thriving for the past 50 years.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Financial uncertainty along with finding the right work/life balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be true to your values, build yourself a good support system ("build a team so strong that they don't know who the leader is" unknown author) and be open to change.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We are long-time members of Chambers of Commerce and White Rock BIA. I also was a director on the board of the White Rock BIA.
