Tell us about yourself

I became a coach to help thoughtful adults change the world around them by better understanding themselves and their purpose. I'm motivated by the moments when clients experience breakthroughs that change how they see and affect the world around them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I fully commit to - from my belief system to my budget and daily life - becoming a business owner and coach because I'm not only doing what I'm meant to do, I'm leading by example for my clients.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

A business owner must embrace a mindset of experimentation. One of the hardest things—and therefore, one of my most significant opportunities for growth—has been learning how to separate disappointing outcomes from disappointment in myself.

In other words, I disassociate the development of an experiment from any degree of negative self-judgment or negative self-talk and instead embrace all outcomes—good or bad—purely as information that can help me determine what to do next.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Embrace the mindset of a scientist: experiment without attachment to outcomes.
  2. Constantly cultivate a community of your peers and veterans in your field.
  3. Be kind to yourself in all ways.
