What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business involves helping people reach their best health and optimal performance. The name of it is HEROH, an acronym for Helping Everyone Reach Optimal Health. The people I work with are looking for health solutions that do not involve drugs or surgery.
Tell us about yourself
I am a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner. Working on my business became a priority after failing at a few other ventures. I really focused on my mission and stayed true to my core values. I stay motivated to do what I do because, for me, it’s the opportunity to help someone else: do better, be better, and have more out of life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishments involve helping my clients achieve their dreams. I’ve worked with professional athletes in Olympians (track & field), NFL, NBA, and WNBA.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the biggest things that come with being a business owner is managing your emotions and putting yourself first. As a business owner, you are certain to experience every emotion, from depression to elation. Prioritizing your life and your family is where a lot of business owners get lost. They spend all their time working in their business and forget the relationships that matter most. Particularly for those with children, money will come and go, but your child will be a child only once.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Have a niche, build relationships and be flexible; things change.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Whatever you do, remember there is a good chance you will have some very hard days; learn from them.
