What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is to provide training and coaching to organizational leaders and their staff.

Tell us about yourself

My career journey has been very eclectic. I started my entrepreneurial path by opening up a family counseling practice. That morphed into providing career development services for youth and employers, and from there, I moved into leadership training, keynote speaking, and organizational consulting. When the pandemic hit, I became a Certified Virtual Presenter and a Life Coach.

What motivates me each day is the freedom to work with a wide range of clients who inspire me to be creative and resourceful in developing services that will help them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Still being one after 31 years...All the people I've been able to serve over those years brings me tremendous satisfaction.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Believing in yourself. There were times I thought I had no idea what I was doing and that I should be looking for a "real job!"

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Never give up.
  2. Be passionate about what you do. It's that passion and belief in what I do that keeps me going.
  3. Get a good business/life coach.
