What's your business, and who are your customers?
We Lash! We Brow! We Makeup! Artfully designing lashes, brows, and makeup enhancements to instill confidence and a youthful appeal along with some style for our beautiful ladies!
Tell us about yourself
I began my career as an undergraduate in Accounting at a major bank. I would always make my face up for work. I practiced until I mastered it, and everyone loved it. In fact, I felt so good about myself that my customer service improved tremendously, and I developed a great rapport with my clients. After several years in the finance industry, I decided it was time for a change. Realizing how I would engage and make those clients feel became a transitional skill for my current career. I love how I make my ladies feel. It's a great feeling to see how I've impacted the lives of the everyday woman who just wants to look and feel her very best like me!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My most recent major accomplishment is going from renting to commercial ownership. I acquired the salon which I recently rented for the last few years!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being a business owner comes with wearing many hats! Day-to-day operations must be overseen, and well, that sometimes makes it challenging to unplug and just rest.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My very first tip is to remember that discipline is vital. My second tip is to learn one skill at a time and master it first. Last but certainly not least, never stop learning.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
In closing, understand that motivation is a temporary feeling- it is discipline, and falling in love with the process every day is a success!
